Who are we?
Found Space Theatre was created in the Piedmont Triad region of North Carolina in 2015.
After a long pandemic break, Found Space Theatre is back in Greensboro as of 2024!
The theatre scene in Greensboro has been altered dramatically due to many factors over these past few decades. We have lost many prized and valuable organizations and people. New rules created downtown are quite different, better or worse, for performing artists during and after Covid.
We believe in the power of live theatre to bring overwhelming joy and wonder to everyone onstage and in the room.
We take this responsibility to our audience and community very seriously. We believe in respecting and honoring the minds, hearts and spirits of artists, partners, and audience members. All who choose to engage in theatre with us.
We are working to bring that joy, that power, that wonder, that honor, and that interconnectedness to our diverse and exciting Greensboro community.
Our mission is this: using theatre to reach inside of America's richly diverse and unconstitutionally segregated communities, striving to build new relationships and bridge cultural and societal divides.
To achieve this, to do this work, is absolute JOY!
